Pokemon B/W gets perfect score from Famitsu

Pokemon has always been huge in Japan, but never this huge. Famitsu's perfect score is nothing to sneeze at, getting perfect 10s across all four reviewers is extremely rare. In fact, not more than 15 games have gotten 40/40 in the mag's long history. To put B/W's achievement in comparison, that the score isn't just fueled by hype alone, consider that Pokemon Diamond/Pearl got 35/40, Platinum got 36/40, and HeartGold/SoulSilver got 37/40. None came close. All reviewers praised Black/White's new, fresh approach to the series, renewing everything without recycling old material, while staying true to the series' original appeal.

The only other game to get a perfect 40 from Famitsu this year was Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker (PSP). And now the battle begins.
